Kwara: Security forces deployed to Gbabu village over herders attack

Security forces have been deployed to Gbabu village via Ballah town in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State to restore law and order.

This followed the attack on a farmer in the village on Tuesday by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

The farmer, Akeem Ajape Ajefedo, was allegedly attacked and sustained machete wounds.

Findings by DAILY POST revealed that Adefedo was hospitalized at Omo-Daudu Hospital, Otte, in Asa Local Government Area of the state.

Recall that four persons were also killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen on Tuesday at Faje community in the same Asa local government area.

Spokesman of the state police command, Mr Okasanmi Ajayi, while reacting to the development, said efforts were on to arrest the killers.

Up till the time of this report, no arrest had been made.
