A new Commissioner of Police has assumed office in Kogi State.

He is CP Idrisu Dauda.

Addressing journalists at the Command’s headquarter in Lokoja on Monday, the new Commissioner of Police promised to build on the legacies of his predecessor Ayuba Ede who is now in charge of AIG zone eight.

Dauda called on all stakeholders to assist the command towards fighting crimes and criminality in the State.

When asked on the recent attack on some police officers around Kabba axis, the CP said “we will continue to sensitize our men to be vigilant to avoid reoccurrence of this ugly incident”.

DAILY POST reports that CP Dauda was formerly in charge of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Kogi State command before he went for a professional course.
